Maybe you've bought the same lie I bought.
You know, the one that says I can have it all and be it all.
If you don't know my story, then you don't know how I lived much of my early parenting life living as if that was true, and attempted to work 40+ hour weeks, homeschool my two very young children, manage the home (groceries, cleaning, etc.), volunteer at church, and spend time with God (OK, I wasn't really doing that last one).
And... let's not forget being a present wife, sister, daughter, and friend.
I was a walking, talking burned out woman before I began to realize I had to let some stuff go.
Maybe it was youth and ignorance that had me there, but I thank God I'm not there anymore (well, most days I'm not).
And being the Rest Consultant I am, I think it's only fitting to kick off my new series on Parenting Well with an episode on doing and being less.
In this episode, Parenting Coach Pam Snyder exhorts us mom leaders by telling us we do not have to try to be it all or do it all, that staying present and focused on the moment God has called us to is modeling for your children how to quiet the noise of the world, and when we surrender what we cannot be or do, we actually submit to who God wants us to really be.
